Italian wedding photography in Tuscany – a timeless destination wedding in Villa Cini

As an Italian Wedding Photographer, I have the privilege of working in some of the most beautiful wedding venues in Tuscany. Matthew and Morgan’s wedding is a perfect example of why couples from the United States California and all over the world choose Tuscany for their destination wedding in Italy.

They traveled from the USA to celebrate their love in one of my favorite locations: Villa Cini, a hidden gem among the most beautiful and intimate wedding venues in Tuscany.

One of the Most Beautiful Wedding Venues in Tuscany: Villa Cini

Villa Cini is, without a doubt, one of my favorite wedding venues in Tuscany. It is small, intimate, and incredibly historic — a place that feels timeless and authentic.

What makes Villa Cini truly special for me as a destination wedding photographer are its interiors. The bridal suite is one of the most beautiful preparation rooms I have ever photographed in Tuscany. The walls are decorated with stunning frescoes and antique paintings, creating an extraordinary backdrop for bridal preparation photos.

This room is perfect for capturing emotional moments with bridesmaids and family, and it adds a refined, almost painterly feeling to the images. From a photographic point of view, it is simply exceptional.

Getting Ready in Tuscany: Bridal Preparation with a Timeless Aesthetic

Morgan’s preparation took place in this breathtaking room, and photographing her there was a dream. Her red hair, combined with the warm tones of the frescoes and antique details, created a color palette that felt both elegant and cinematic.

As a wedding photographer in Tuscany, I always look for locations that enhance the story naturally, and Villa Cini offers endless possibilities. The villa’s intimate size allows you to move easily from one corner to another, discovering unique perspectives at every step.

An Intimate Garden Ceremony Overlooking the Tuscan Hills

The ceremony took place in a small garden overlooking the rolling Tuscan hills, one of the reasons couples choose Tuscany for their exclusive Italian wedding.

Although the space is not large, it feels incredibly intimate — perfect for an emotional and personal ceremony. The floral design by Mary Fiori made the setting truly magical.

Instead of traditional floral arrangements, the idea was to place large white roses directly into the ground, scattered through the grass. The result was simple yet incredibly impactful: elegant, natural, and visually stunning. From a photography perspective, this setup created a clean, refined scene that felt both modern and timeless.

Wedding Reception in Tuscany: A Refined and Elegant Garden Dinner

After the ceremony, the celebration continued in another part of the garden with a beautiful horseshoe-shaped table. The dinner setup followed the same philosophy: simple, elegant, and full of character.

White roses were again the main floral element, enhancing the atmosphere without overpowering it. One of the most beautiful details — and a big trend for the 2025 wedding season in Italy — was the silk scarves placed on each chair for the guests. Each scarf featured iconic Italian phrases, adding a stylish and personal touch that felt both contemporary and very Italian.

Photographing a Young Couple with a Vintage, Timeless Soul

Matthew and Morgan were a joy to photograph. They are a very young couple, full of freshness and spontaneity, which allowed us to create playful, natural images while also embracing a more editorial approach.

Despite their young age, they have a vintage, timeless elegance that translated beautifully into the photographs. We explored every corner of Villa Cini, using its historic textures, gardens, and intimate spaces to tell their story.

As a destination wedding photographer in Tuscany, my goal is always to balance candid, documentary moments with refined, editorial portraits — and Matthew and Morgan trusted me completely in this process.

A Timeless Destination Wedding in Italy

This wedding perfectly reflects what I love most about photographing destination weddings in Tuscany: intimacy, beauty, history, and emotion all coming together in a natural and elegant way.

Villa Cini remains one of the most charming and exclusive wedding venues in Tuscany, ideal for couples looking for an authentic Italian experience with a refined, timeless aesthetic.
